A few words on sending us files . . .

  MAC:

1. Send in one or more of the following formats on a disk, for we cannot read MAC files that have been sent over the internet, unless they have been converted so PC’s can read it. .eps (Encapsulated Postscript), .ai (Adobe Illustrator) .

2. No Macromedia Freehand Files, please . . My computer will  go on strike and protest.

  PC:

1. To ensure the fastest processing of your art, please send the file in one or more of the following formats: .plt (Gerber), .eps , .ai , .bmp, jpg.

2. If you are sending over vectored art,  Illustrator compatible files work the best. Doing so may exclude some of the artwork from the file. Black on white is best. Convert text to curves when possible.

3. For color printing files, the higher the resolution and larger the size saved this way, the better the image. Sending a file at 72 dpi at 1” x 2” and needing the image to be 3’ x 4’ will not render a good print, unless you are trying to create a 1” pixelated effect.

REGARDLESSLY of what type of file you send, please, please send us a fax or printout of the image to be processed.  Occasionally when we convert certain files, parts of the image get lost in the transfer, such as type not converted to curves, unclosed lines and/or shapes, and even images colored in white. So it is important that we have a hard copy to view.

YES!  THE WAR RAGES ON!

EMC has PC based computers that work with Gerber Omega sign making software, but can work with some MAC files (see below). We also have Adobe Illustrator CS2, Adobe Photoshop CS2, CorelDraw 11, and other means of getting files to work. Meeting one or more of the following conditions will insure the file to work through our conversion process:
